This is our cat, Olive. She’s been staying with Nick’s parents this semester since I’m not allowed to have animals in my apartment. We found out today that she’s gone missing — snuck out the back door and into the Great Unknown in the middle of a thunderstorm. She’s never spent a day outside in her entire life, but she’s been missing for five. Needless to say, we’re worried.
She’s four hours away from me, and an ocean away from Nick. It’s hard to feel this helpless, especially when we don’t really even have each other for support. I knew this was going to be a challenging semester, but this has been a completely unexpected, devastating blow.
